Your Beautiful Home Anna Williams – A well-designed modern bedroom is welcoming and relaxing. “The most unique bedrooms exude an irresistible warmth,” says interior designer Anna Williams of Your Beautiful Home, who’s not just talking about that cozy comforter. “This can be through stylish bedding or wallpaper, layered throws, luxurious curtains or carefully chosen artwork that has meaning. In short, it should be an expression of you and your personality. These six modern bedroom ideas are a joy to wake up to, setting the mood for the rest of the day.
This beautiful space, designed by Lauren Mahoney of Studio Trio, reflects the heritage of the Sydney house it occupies. Wallpaper brings instant personality to a bedroom and forget the feature wall – go for all fours, for a cocoon effect. Then take your decorative cues from the wallpaper with a carefully selected selection of furniture, including a headboard to match the style. “This palette is a soft Eau de Nil – calm, soothing and so suitable for a heritage home,” says Lauren. “I paired it with dark walnut furniture to add contrast. A vintage chandelier sets the glam. of the space and further enhances the wallpaper.”

This period style bedroom includes a Bernhardt ‘Miramont’ dresser and nightstand (try Ke-Zu) and a Warranbrooke ‘Audrey’ mirror with the original chandelier.
Kitchen Cabinet Design Ideas To Give Your Space An Ultimate Makeover
Get your countryside cushions for instant relaxation. This room evokes the spirit of an English country house, with a spring pastel palette that takes you deep into the countryside. Again, Eau de Nil is the base color – a color having a moment, right now – offset by a peachy pink as a delicate herbal finish. Other charming country touches include cane laundry baskets, a modern four-poster bed design (try the Temple Webster), a Shaker-style wardrobe, a tongue-and-groove ceiling, floral curtains and a woven grass floor covering…
Accessories such as artwork add an individual touch to the bedroom, as does the practical, carved armchair (the Brosa ‘Nottage’ armchair is similar).
Yes now… Or go for a coastal theme barefoot with an open bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The VJ panel and informal design layout of this bedroom are set against the backdrop of the Gold Coast that reflects the nearby beach, as well as the navy-white palette with ecru for warmth, the en-suite mosaic and the view of the wall. Textured bedding and knitted throws emphasize the importance of flexibility in the space. Artwork gives an individual finishing touch – but opt for low-key, nothing too dramatic. Save that for the living spaces.

Texture and pattern are the perfect bed in this quiet space, designed by Anna Williams of Your Beautiful Home. “The linen adds a welcome touch of color and playfulness – the owners have lived abroad for a long time, so they loved the unique local feel of this varara print,” she said. Anna also used popara with attractive textures. “The carved wooden bed side and the bronze lamp are small references to the Asian countries they lived in,” she says. “Yes, they combine beautifully with the grass wallpaper, headboard and plush rug to create an inviting room that’s special.”
Jute lawn wallpaper by Style Revolution, Warwick Regis bedding, Globe West Harper nightstand, Crochet pendant with urban lighting, and Home Republic Tully quilt set by Adairs bring an interesting interplay of textures in this northern Sydney bedroom.
A parental retreat in suburban Perth is just that – a sanctuary. It even has its own sitting area, with Maxim armchairs by Coco Republic, ottomans and plenty of natural light thanks to crisp white walls and glass – Luxaflex louvres protect against glare and seal in heat at night The fireplace, table and floor lamps and the lush carpet further increases the luxury factor. Of today’s master bedroom ideas, this is the smallest in its range. “Lighting makes such a difference in a bedroom,” says interior designer Kate Walker of KWD & Co. “Mood lighting that creates a relaxing atmosphere is essential, as is lighting for reading tasks. Use lamps, pendants, wall sconces and lights to achieve the desired effect. Good tip: don’t go overboard with the lights!
A white color palette for interest creates instant calm in this parent’s retreat. With a muted palette, textures do all the talking.
Inside The Maximalism Design Trend
The spectacular views enjoyed by this modern bedroom in Victoria’s Point Leo meant a guest room – and KWD & Co delivered the goods. A beautiful bedspread, made by Sorrento Furniture and covered in blue Kravet ‘Moro’ linen (try Elliott Clarke), shares the stage with the view, which is designed with full-length curtains that provide insulation (try Wynstan). “The bed is designed for a 1980s resort feel,” says Kate. It is offset by a custom ottoman in Izora Kravet linen. “An ottoman provides a comfortable seat where you can put on your shoes or hang your clothes,” says Kate. A subtle oak floor is the backdrop for the Hamptons rug from KWD & Co.

Located on Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches, this apartment needed an equally stunning beach-inspired makeover to match its surroundings. The designers of your beautiful home chose Pallido herringbone wood floors from the Italian collection to be featured throughout.
The owners of this large home, perfectly located right next to the beach, wanted to give it a much needed contemporary makeover. The challenge they set for the designers, Your Beautiful Home, was that they wanted a beach-inspired vibe that wasn’t cliché.
Interior Design Trends 2022: Experts Share What’s In This Year
You Beautiful Home chose Pallido herringbone wood flooring to be used throughout the home. The beautiful view of Palido’s sand gave the beach vitality, warmth and increased natural light. The choice to set the Pallido in a herringbone pattern provided a sense of luxury and freshness that the clients wanted and set the design apart from the beach cliché.
“Being in a residential building, we were limited by the amount of windows down, so you tend to get darker areas. Paleo coloring gives a nice, fresh, open feeling. When put in a herringbone pattern, it gives a sense of sophistication and a bit of purpose when you walk in.”
The Palido was also perfect for the job because of its slim profile that allowed it to successfully handle the roof height restrictions. It was possible to quickly transition the design from room to room, including using Pallido vertical planks to nicely cover the stairs and keep the flooring consistent throughout the home.
“It was great to work with. We were able to match the herringbone floor and the stair end tables. They come together seamlessly and it looks beautiful.”

The choice of wood was fundamental to the overall design aesthetic of the home and blended perfectly with the beautiful blue tones, textures and materials used throughout.
“Customers love the look and color of Palido wood and the ease of living with such a durable floor that looks premium, but without the price.”
