Your Beautiful Home Anna Williams – A well-designed modern bedroom is welcoming and relaxing. “The most unique bedrooms exude an irresistible warmth,” says interior designer Anna Williams of Your Beautiful Home, who’s not just talking about that cozy comforter. “This can be through stylish bedding or wallpaper, layered throws, luxurious curtains or carefully chosen artwork that has meaning. In short, it should be an expression of you and your personality. These six modern bedroom ideas are a joy to wake up to, setting the mood for the rest of the day.

This beautiful space, designed by Lauren Mahoney of Studio Trio, reflects the heritage of the Sydney house it occupies. Wallpaper brings instant personality to a bedroom and forget the feature wall – go for all fours, for a cocoon effect. Then take your decorative cues from the wallpaper with a carefully selected selection of furniture, including a headboard to match the style. “This palette is a soft Eau de Nil – calm, soothing and so suitable for a heritage home,” says Lauren. “I paired it with dark walnut furniture to add contrast. A vintage chandelier sets the glam. of the space and further enhances the wallpaper.”

Other charming country touches include cane laundry baskets, a modern four-poster bed design (try the Temple Webster), a Shaker-style wardrobe, a tongue-and-groove ceiling, floral curtains and a woven grass floor covering…

Accessories such as artwork add an individual touch to the bedroom, as does the practical, carved armchair (the Brosa ‘Nottage’ armchair is similar).

The VJ panel and informal design layout of this bedroom are set against the backdrop of the Gold Coast that reflects the nearby beach, as well as the navy-white palette with ecru for warmth, the en-suite mosaic and the view of the wall. Texture and pattern are the perfect bed in this quiet space, designed by Anna Williams of Your Beautiful Home. “The linen adds a welcome touch of color and playfulness – the owners have lived abroad for a long time, so they loved the unique local feel of this varara print,” she said. Anna also used popara with attractive textures. “The carved wooden bed side and the bronze lamp are small references to the Asian countries they lived in,” she says. “Yes, they combine beautifully with the grass wallpaper, headboard and plush rug to create an inviting room that’s special.”

Use lamps, pendants, wall sconces and lights to achieve the desired effect. Good tip: don’t go overboard with the lights!

It is offset by a custom ottoman in Izora Kravet linen. “An ottoman provides a comfortable seat where you can put on your shoes or hang your clothes,” says Kate. Located on Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches, this apartment needed an equally stunning beach-inspired makeover to match its surroundings. The designers of your beautiful home chose Pallido herringbone wood floors from the Italian collection to be featured throughout.

The owners of this large home, perfectly located right next to the beach, wanted to give it a much needed contemporary makeover. The challenge they set for the designers, Your Beautiful Home, was that they wanted a beach-inspired vibe that wasn’t cliché.

Interior Design Trends 2022: Experts Share What’s In This Year

You Beautiful Home chose Pallido herringbone wood flooring to be used throughout the home. The beautiful view of Palido’s sand gave the beach vitality, warmth and increased natural light. The choice to set the Pallido in a herringbone pattern provided a sense of luxury and freshness that the clients wanted and set the design apart from the beach cliché.

“Being in a residential building, we were limited by the amount of windows down, so you tend to get darker areas. Paleo coloring gives a nice, fresh, open feeling. When put in a herringbone pattern, it gives a sense of sophistication and a bit of purpose when you walk in.”

The Palido was also perfect for the job because of its slim profile that allowed it to successfully handle the roof height restrictions. It was possible to quickly transition the design from room to room, including using Pallido vertical planks to nicely cover the stairs and keep the flooring consistent throughout the home.
