That’s why the best interior design apps put professionals to good use, which is useful when you go from appointment to appointment. Here’s our 2022-2023 Best Apps for Interior Designers list, which we first published in 2019 and are updated annually. This app will make your life easier and help you take your business to new heights. App for developing ideas (mood board built in Morpholio Board Pro; Photo Credit: Morpholio) Pinterest The Pinterest app brings everything you love about Pinterest to an intuitive mobile interface. Find inspiration or organize your photos into boards that you can choose to share with colleagues and clients. The app is free and available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 12.0 or later. It is also available for Android. Paper The Paper application allows users to create color drawings that imitate various artistic techniques, such as pencil and watercolor. What sets this app apart from Concepts and Art Set 4, both great apps for creating art, is that Paper, created by FiftyThree (acquired by WeTransfer) has a very advanced collage feature that lets you cut, paste, and combine things. – Things like handwritten notes, pictures, and text. This app is free to create and share files up to 2 GB and is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Note that it requires iOS 12.0 or later. Currently it does not offer a version for Android. Morpholio Board Pro makes the list again this year, Morpholio Board Pro is the best app for creating mood boards and 2D displays that use real products. The free version will help you create professional-looking mood boards, while the Pro version will also provide shopping lists, cutting sheets, and specifications for selected products, plus a variety of additional tools. Making life easier is that the Morpholio Board Pro app can be connected to Pinterest. Note that Morpholio Board is part of the Morpholio Suite, which includes useful apps such as Morpholio Trace, Morpholio Journal, and Morpholio (stock creation app). The Morphio Board app is free for basic use and upgrades are available from $0.99 to $7.99 per month or $11.99 per year for Pro on devices running iOS 13.0 or later. The app for iPad includes more features than the iPhone version, as noted in the app description. It is also available for Android. Paste By the same creator of Paper and also under the WeTransfer umbrella comes Paste, a new addition to the 2022 list of the best apps for interior designers. With Paste, you can easily create presentations using images, photos, and mood boards, or mood boards built into the app itself. The accompanying app, Paste Preview, has the same writing tools as the desktop version and lets you view slides in real-time and share them from anywhere. Using Paste Preview is an easy way to organize ideas and create presentations that are sleek enough to put in front of clients and other collaborators. You can download it for free using Apple devices with iOS 11.0 or later and Android devices. . App for Mapping & 2D (Floorplan built in Floorplanner; Image credit: Floorplanner) iHandy Carpenter The iHandy Carpenter app continues to be popular among interior designers. It provides a virtual carpenter’s toolbox, including a surface level, bob, and steel ruler. It costs $1.99 and is available for all iPhones running iOS 6 or higher. MagicPlan App The MagicPlan app takes photos of your space and converts them into floor plans with impressive accuracy, making this a must-have app for interior designers. Bottom line, you may want to create your own drawings in Autocad (Autocad applications can help), but MagicPlan floor plans are a good starting point. You can use the basic components of the app for free, but there are several levels of fees. Access more features. It is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 14.0 or later. Google Play offers a version for Android. Floorplanner The Floorplanner app is a new addition to this year’s list of best apps for interior designers. Although the app can create 2D plans and 3D renderings, its best use is to create presentation-ready floor plans. Users can draw rooms and walls using the drag and drop method or by entering dimensions by Straight to produce a scaled drawing. Unlike Autocad, the lines are connected automatically to help avoid difficult to catch errors that will create problems in the production of 2D and 3D renderings of the basic plan. One of the disadvantages is that the app is only available for Android. HomeStyler Interior Design In the HomeStyler interior design app, you can use a photo of your real space and start filling that space with different furniture from the app’s archive and play with different color schemes, all in real life. The basic version of the app is free and upgrades range from $5.99 to $9.99 per month and is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 10.0 or later. It is also available for Android. SketchUp for iPad New on our list is the SketchUp application, which offers good value (functions for a low price) and integrates with several other software. Its new app for iPad offers the same features as SketchUp for the desktop and additional tools such as Apple’s drawing pencil, which lets you turn sketches into 3D images. With the SketchUp application, creating detailed and professional commercial-grade 3D drawings for single rooms to multi-story buildings can be done on the go. It’s available for iPads running iOS 15 or later for a 7-day free trial and then $119 for an annual subscription. Apps for Delving Into Design Adobe Capture The Adobe Capture app has many useful functions, making it an essential component in any interior designer’s app folder. This app can take photos and specify patterns, convert shapes to vector images, and manage color schemes. It is the perfect tool to bring inspiration images into the design phase. It’s free and available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 14 or later. It is also available for Android. Apps to Manage Your Business (Design Manager App; Image Credit: Design Manager) Design Manager We wouldn’t put our own product on this list if we didn’t think it belonged here, but we don’t think there’s a better app for interior design. Project management and accounting from a sleek, easy-to-use manager’s presentation design. The Design Manager app allows users to tap into their account portal and access any information they need to retrieve right now. What’s more, the application makes it super easy to take photos and add items, swipe professional-style photo gallery items for client meetings, and quickly add contacts. Of course, we can’t fail to mention the time tracker function, which works like a stop/start time that converts minutes into billable time, all recorded in your account portal.
