The first thing to do when organizing is to eliminate and eliminate everything that doesn’t belong in this space. Throw away the trash, shred unwanted papers, and remove anything unused from your desk. This creates more clutter and distraction from work.
We recommend keeping a paper shredder and bin nearby so you can continue to declutter weekly or daily when you need to.
To work in the most effective way, we suggest setting things up in the best possible way. Keep the most frequently used items and tools nearby. If you don’t need certain items often, you can put them in drawers or other places in the office. Keep only daily essentials on your desk or table.
