Where Is Alexa On My Phone

Where Is Alexa On My Phone – Of all the things smartphones have replaced, speakers remain untouched. Even if the phone has two speakers, it will never come close to a full standalone speaker.

On the other hand, speakers have reached new heights in the past few years thanks to smart speakers like the Amazon Echo that can speak and act on commands. If you own such a device, you can use it to stream audio from your phone. It is important to act as a Bluetooth speaker on your phone.

Are you wondering how to do that? Don’t worry. We’ll help you connect your Amazon Echo to your phone and tablet. First, you need to pair your device with the Echo, and then you can stream audio. There are two ways to connect your Echo to your phone. Let’s examine them and understand how to use them.

Streaming With Alexa: How To Listen To Music On An Amazon Echo

Instead of steps 2 to 4, you can go to Settings from the Alexa app sidebar followed by Device Settings. Click here on your Echo device and select Bluetooth devices. Tap “Pair new device” and follow these steps.

Step 5: On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings. Now whether you click on “Pair a new device” or turn on Bluetooth then your phone or tablet will automatically search for a new Echo. The steps may vary on your device. The basic idea is that you need to enter the pairing mode.

Step 6: You will get a pop-up about Echo (confirm it), or the device will appear under Available Devices. Click on the person in question to connect.

If both are connected properly, your Echo will confirm the connection with “Connected to…” followed by your device name.

Step 2: Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and enter pairing mode. Stay on one screen.

Step 4: Tap on Echo under Devices available on your phone. If all goes well, the Echo will announce that the phone has been successfully connected.

Once successfully paired, use the command “Alexa, Connect my phone” to reconnect to your phone next time. Then play anything on your device, and the Echo will act as a Bluetooth speaker.

You can only stream audio from your phone or other devices. Your Echo won’t be able to answer calls, send a message to someone, or read notifications on your mobile device.

Alexa Bluetooth: How To Use Your Amazon Echo As A Bluetooth Speaker

You should be careful while using multiple pairing tools. Although the Echo remembers multiple connected devices, it will connect to the most recently paired device if it’s in range.

If for some reason you can’t connect your phone to your Echo or if your Echo doesn’t play sound on a connected device, try these fixes.

If the Bluetooth section isn’t in the Alexa app at the bottom of your device, it means your Echo device doesn’t support Bluetooth. Echo supports limited Bluetooth profiles. So make sure your phone or tablet has a compatible profile.

If you’re trying to pair a new device with the Echo, you’ll need to turn off Bluetooth on all other paired devices to prevent the Echo from reconnecting with them. Only then connect with the new device.

Can I Call Alexa From My Phone?

Sometimes, disabling and enabling Bluetooth on your device also helps with connectivity. So give it a try.

It’s like restarting your Echo device. All you have to do is unplug it or turn it off for a few seconds. Hopefully plugging it back in will fix the issue.

Another way to fix the issue is to disable one or all of the connected Bluetooth devices. You can do this in your phone’s Bluetooth settings (turn on Bluetooth settings and forget Echo) or in the Alexa app.

Then, repeat steps 1 to 4 above to connect multiple devices. Open the Alexa app, go to Tools > Echo and Alexa > Your device > Bluetooth devices, and tap Forget device instead of Disconnect.

Amazon should do better when it comes to multiple devices. Of course, it connects to the last paired device, but sometimes we want to change devices. I’m hoping to find an easy way to connect devices directly using a universal command like “connect to Mehvesh’s iPad” instead of disconnecting it. Let’s pray for the best.

At this point, you should hopefully be able to connect your phone to your Echo device. Do you have anything to add to this post? Let us know in the comments below.
